Starting in the early 1950s, Québec photographer Gabriel Desmarais (Gaby) enjoyed a meteoric rise to success on an international level. For over 30 years, he captured on film the features and personalities of the most renown stars of the day, raising the standards of portraiture to rarely equalled heights. Large-format photographs will be on display in Quartier des Spectacles outdoors, on the Promenade des Artistes and De Maisonneuve Blvd., and indoors at the Grande Bibliothèque.
