Programmation officielle du 375e anniversaire de Montréal
Exposition satellite du festival Art Souterrain 2017
OBORO et Art Souterrain présentent en collaboration la visite commentée de l'exposition "Le monde de demain", en compagnie de l'artiste kanien'kehá:ka (mohawk) Skawennati. L'occasion d'en savoir plus sur son processus créatif et les assises de son travail qui entremêle habilement nouvelles technologies, univers virtuels et récits ancestraux.
L'exposition "Le monde de demain" ouvre à OBORO une année consacrée aux artistes autochtones issus des nations formant le territoire aujourd'hui connu sous le nom de Canada. Pour lancer cette programmation, le comité artistique a invité Skawennati, dont le travail et l'engagement sont inscrits au cœur d'OBORO depuis plus de vingt ans et qui a activement contribué à la définition de cette année de programmation.
Art Souterrain présente la 9e édition de son festival d'art contemporain "Jeu et Diversion", du 4 au 26 mars dans les 9 édifices souterrains de Montréal et dans 7 lieux satellites.
"Le monde de demain" est présenté en partenariat avec la Société des célébrations du 375e anniversaire de Montréal et bénéficie du soutien financier de la Ville de Montréal, du gouvernement du Québec et des Grandes Montréalaises.

Official event of Montreal’s 375th anniversary
A satellite exhibition of festival Art Souterrain 2017
OBORO presents in collaboration with Art Souterrain a gallery walk-through of the exhibition “Tomorrow People” with the kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) artist Skawennati. This is a chance to learn more about her creative process and the basis of her work, which skilfully interweaves new technologies, virtual environments, and Aboriginal stories.
The exhibition “Tomorrow People” launches a year of programming dedicated to Indigenous artists from the range of nations across the land now known as Canada. In recognition of over 20 years of engagement in our organization, OBORO’s Artistic Committee invited Skawennati to launch the year.
Art Souterrain presents the 9th edition of its eponymous contemporary art festival, under the theme "Play and Distraction", from the 4th to the 26th of March, in eight buildings of Montreal's underground network and in seven satellite venues in Montreal.
"Tomorrow People" is presented in collaboration with the Society of the celebrations of the 375th anniversary of Montreal and benefits from the financial contribution of Ville de Montréal, Gouvernement du Québec and Great Montrealers.
