Event Description In this beginner level workshop, unleash your inner artist by understanding the basics of crochet. Learn how to choose yarn, follow a basic pattern, and use ergonomic postures and techniques. This class will introduce you to the slipknot, starting chain, and double crochet stitch in order to make a beautiful chunky style cowl. Workshop Mentor Profile Tara loves to express her creativity in three dimensions, whether through crochet, polymer clay, or ceramics. After successfully crocheting many gifts and projects for herself, she started to share pictures and sell her work through her own label on alwaysbecozy.com. With experience leading many hands-on training sessions in a Product Development environment within aerospace, she is is now happy to be able to apply her training skills in a more creative setting. She sees crochet as a great way to unwind, while providing the satisfaction of creating a useful finished product. Audience Beginners with little or no previous crochet experience. The take-home kit includes: Hook, needle, and yarn will be provided and included in the cost of the workshop. Attendees will crochet their own infinity scarf with the option to chose their own colour and style of yarn upon arrival.
