MOMOMAMO (Oakland CA) is the DJ project of Merrill Garbus, of Tune-Yards notoriety. Her show C.L.A.W. (Collaborative Legions of Artful Womxn) runs monthly on RBMA radio. She focuses on female-identifying artists in her DJ sets and incorporates some of the world rhythms, improvised loops and soulful vocals that she is known for in her other work.

Longtime collaborator Pat Jordache (MTL) joins her in the booth. He is a familiar face behind the bar at Datcha's, though this evening his mixing skills will be applied to the Pioneer DJM 900. Label boss at local imprint Banko Gotiti Records, his recent production work includes the back to school long-form instrumental Moses 147, which premiered to great acclaim on THUMP.
