Sharpening our focus: human rights and key populations in the GLOBAL Response to HIV, TB and Malaria
Key and vulnerable populations, including women and girls, have been recognized as essential to ending AIDS since the beginning of the response. More recently, the scientific and advocacy communities that seek to end tuberculosis and malaria have acknowledged how key and particularly vulnerable communities impact those epidemics as well. Human rights, gender equity, engagement with key and vulnerable populations, and building resilient systems for sustainable health are central tenets of the new Global Fund Strategy (2017-2022).
ICAD, ICASO, RESULTS Canada, and GFAN are pleased to host this public dialogue that hones in on the critical importance of protecting and promoting the human rights of key and vulnerable populations in the global response to HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. We are pleased to welcome a keynote address by Stephen Lewis (AIDS Free World) and a dynamic panel of Canadian and global leaders including, the Global Fund, UNAIDS, EriKa Castellanos (C-Net+), and Loyce Maturu, (GFAN Champion), moderated by Richard Elliott of the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network.
Space is limited so you will want to reserve your seat without delay. Please note this event will be in English only.
