Les RIDM vous invitent, samedi le 28 février, à apprendre l'art du bruitage en participant à un atelier avec le bruiteur professionnel Nicolas Gagnon. Soyez bruiteur l'instant d'un soir et venez vous pratiquer sur des extraits du film « Le Horse Palace » de Nadine Gomez, distribué par Les Films du 3 mars (RIDM 2012).
Découvrez aussi le court métrage Hacked Circuit de Deborah Stratman, réflexion sur les méthodes modernes de surveillances à travers l'observation du métier de bruiteur.

NOISE IN THE NIGHT
How are movie noises made? The RIDM invites you to learn about the art of foley work by participating in a workshop with Nicolas Gagnon, professional foley artist. Try your hand at this little known technique with excerpts from "Le Horse Palace" by Nadine Gomez (RIDM 2012).
Workshop participants will also see the short film Hacked Circuit by Deborah Stratman. Comprising a single tracking shot, Hacked Circuit reveals the secrets of how movie sounds are made. The camera’s circular motion takes us inside a foley studio in Burbank, California. While one of the foley artists works on sounds for a paranoia-focused scene from Coppola’s The Conversation, we enter a forbidden, secret world where an entire universe is created artificially, by association reminding us of government intrusions on our privacy.
Stratman’s short film is a reflection on modern surveillance techniques, explained by observing the workings of a mysterious profession.
